Our Story: From Brazil to Houston – A Vision in Every Wall
EcoDecor Houston began with a conversation—one that started in Brazil and found its home in Houston.
I’m Tatiana, and together with my husband Chris Marino, we launched EcoDecor Houston to share a new way of thinking about walls—not just as surfaces, but as canvases for beauty, sustainability, and innovation.
Growing up in Brazil, I was surrounded by vibrant design, rich textures, and a deep cultural respect for natural materials. That influence never left me. Years later, after moving to the U.S. and starting a life with Chris, we found ourselves constantly inspired by the idea of bringing those Brazilian design values into American homes—values rooted in warmth, creativity, and a respect for the Earth.
After years of researching, we discovered EcoDecor sustainable lines of liquid wallpaper —a cutting-edge wall finish crafted from natural fibers like silk, cotton, and cellulose, combined with mica, quartz, and even precious stones, bonded with eco-friendly agents. Not only are these materials beautiful, they’re also biodegradable, insulating, hypo allergenic, and incredibly easy to maintain.
We knew we had found something special—and we wanted to share it with our community in Houston.
That’s how EcoDecor Houston was born: a fusion of Brazilian artistry and American craftsmanship. Today, we offer custom textures and colors, bringing a modern and sustainable alternative to traditional wall coverings like paint, wallpaper, stone, or tile.

We welcome the challenges and anticipate the bumps on the road. The building industry can be resistant to new materials being introduced. We have a comprehensive educational strategy to educate designers, builders and direct customers to remove some of the perceived risk in adopting unfamiliar finishes. As we grow, our reputation will be the biggest testament of the quality of our product and work but we acknowledge that liquid wallpaper really is new to most U.S. customers. With a strong need for education came our strategy around providing to build trust and understanding.
